WHAT?!?

In my continuous attempts to try to understand people, I have been looking up different religions and their basis of beliefs.... Than I came accross this .. the scientology belief of ... XENU ...whatever.

New hair?

Every so often I get to that point where my long long hair (30 inches of it) seems to feel messy, heavy, hard to brush and stick straight, common brown, very boring.

I'm going through thoose moments when you think it would be better to shave it all off. Maybe it would be better to plan for some kind of more thought out less drastic change than becomeing G.I. Jane.

When I mention changing my hair to friends or family, they all seem to develop this look of absolute horror on their face.I'm told I shouldn't change a thing. It's this reaction that backs me down from most attempts. I don't know if that is because they just can't see my hair any other way, or if changing what I've got is just a bad idea.

so here are my options

Cutting it - my long hair has kind of "grown on me" I'm not ready to cut it short, I've tried some layering before, I found it annoying that I couldn't tie it all back when I wanted to, short bangs are out of the question, my hair parts weird.

Dying it - thought of going red before, or putting highlights or lowlights in my hair, but the truth is the colour of my hair is my 2nd favorite part about it ( first is length)

Curling it - Probably my number 1 choice right now, likely a very loose wave just to add some texture and body to make me love wearing my hair not in some tight little bun to keep it out of my face

BUT when I was a kid I had some very scary perms that scare me away from that process.

I Cant belive my mother let me have a burnt hair mullet. :)

Leaving it - Keeping it the same, and let it keep on growing and getting my hair cuts 3 times a year just to trim the bottom, at these times even hair dressers tell me they wouldn't change it. They call my hair "virgin hair"* There are very few hair dressers that will be ok in making a drastic change in "virgin hair" because they say their clients are almost never happy with the change.

Will I be bold and take a chance at changing my hair?

Or will I keep the same style I have had for 10 years? ( Or more)


* hair that is long that has not been chemically treated in 7 - 10 years.

Officially Married

Short Story:

After 8 months of Marriage, and 5 months of waiting for paper work we can finally prove we are really really married.

Long story:

Our minister told us that to be sure all the paper work went through properly with the Office of the registrar General, we were to order our marriage Certificate, (wich is also useful in registering for things like Passports, Like I've been wanting to do)

He said while he hasn't seen it often, occasionaly paperwork gets lost. He told us there are only about 5 or 6 people way out in Thunderbay registering everyones birth, death and marriage in Ontario and it can take a long time to get the papers. If paperwork gets lost then a couple does not have proof that they are really married when stuff happens that they need to prove that they are... Thats when bad stuff, gets worse.

He said it was very important that we send away to get our marriage certificate after 12 weeks of marriage... cause if we send for it too soon, we could get lost in some paper black hole. So, way back at the end of August I sent in our request. He warned us it could take some time. The words " snail mail" is not the right term for it.

They FINALLY charged my credit card at the end of November making me think my papers were on their way... I started to question if they were coming at all by the beginning of January.

I've attempted to make a couple phone calls, but I guess in such a very busy overworked office, they don't answer the phone.

Finally 5 months later the long form certificate arrives. I asked for a short form one aswell, but maybe it will come in another 5 months :)

Guess what....

I GOT THE JOB!!!!

I signed all the papers yesterday

Now back to that stupid game....
